Non-Chip/No-Chip Manicure (NCM): Overview of the Process
A gel based product used as a nail hardening treatment applied over natural
nails. It allows your nails to stay shiny and flexible with an overall well-groomed appearance. It does not chip
or wear away for two weeks. We have over 35 selections including french with the Bio-Sculpture
Non-Chip Manicure and Pedicure.
Step 1: Select a color.
When looking at our selection you will notice that most of the colors are comparable to a lot of the Essie or OPI colors.
Please feel free to ask the technician for color combinations or color suggestions.
Step 2: The gel-based product is overlayed your natural
nails and cured under a UVA light.
Step 3: We suggest
oiling the cuticles daily. It helps the product stay longer and enhance the treatment, but as well keep your cuticles
in great condition.
Step 4: After two weeks with the product an outgrowth
will appear and a Non-Chip Fill is highly recommended. We are aware that other locations are soaking off every two weeks
when there should be a scheduled maintanence in between when experiencing this process. When the nail bed is exposed
to consistent soaking there is a tendency where the nailbeds will be weakened.
Step 5: After the Non-Chip fill, two weeks after a soak off should be scheduled. The solution supplied
by Bio-Sculpture that is used to remove the Non-Chip manicure has a blue tint to the soak off.
Step 6: When soaking off, we file off the top layer to break the seal of the product and
then apply moisturizing hand salve around the cuticles to avoid drying or damage. A cotton piece absorbed with the blue
soak off solution is then applied directly on the nail bead and then enclosed with foil.
Step 7: The soak off takes about 15-20mins not including the filing off
process.
Step 8: After removal of
the cotton piece, you will notice the product lifted off your nails.
Step 9: Complete removal of the product and the entire process
repeated.
